The Story Behind the Repel HL
Outdoor enthusiasts and professionals who work after dark all run into the same frustration: turn on a headlamp and insects immediately swarm your face. Inventor JoeAnna Malone Karageorge set out to fix a problem every existing headlamp shared but none had solved.
“Every headlamp on the market attracts bugs. The Repel HL is the first to do something about it,” she said. “It’s one device that handles both problems at once — light and protection — so users can stay focused on what they’re doing.”
The result is a patent-pending design that integrates insect-repellent technology directly into the headlamp — adjustable-zoom white light, red/green and UV modes, dual power, and integrated accessories — built for campers, hikers, hunters, anglers, emergency responders, technicians, and field researchers alike.
